LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION honoring Michael Pellegrini upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by the Poppenhusen Institute

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note  of  certain
extraordinary  individuals  it  wishes  to  recognize  for  their valued
contributions to the  success  and  progress  of  society  and  publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
  WHEREAS,  Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body  is  justly  proud  to  honor
Michael  Pellegrini  upon  the  occasion  of his designation for special
recognition by the Poppenhusen Institute, to be celebrated at its Spring
Dinner on Saturday, May 11, 2013, in College Point, New York; and
  WHEREAS, Born and raised in Flushing, New York, Michael Pellegrini  is
a graduate of SUNY Farmingdale with a degree in ornamental horticulture;
and
  WHEREAS,  In  1993,  Michael  Pellegrini married his wife, Margie, and
they have two children, Michael and Erica, who have both participated in
programs at the Institute; and
  WHEREAS, In 1990, Michael Pellegrini started Bags Galore &  Janitorial
Supply  Co.,  Inc.;  when not involved with his business, gardening, and
being a devoted husband and father, he loves to give back to the  commu-
nity in gratitude for the many good things that have helped him in life;
and
  WHEREAS, After Hurricane Katrina, Michael Pellegrini felt compelled to
contribute  to the restoration campaign for New Orleans; in addition, he
is a proud supporter of the Poppenhusen Institute; and
  WHEREAS, A true asset to society, Michael  Pellegrini's  distinguished
record merits the recognition and respectful tribute of this Legislative
Body; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED,  That  this  Legislative  Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Michael Pellegrini  upon  the  occasion  of  his  designation  for
special recognition by the Poppenhusen Institute; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Michael Pellegrini.
