LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION  honoring  Carolyn  Tyndall upon the occasion of
being selected as Clinton County's 2013 Senior Citizen of the Year

WHEREAS, Senior citizens bring a wealth of experience and  knowledge  to
the  increasingly  active roles they play in today's society; their past
contributions and future participation are a vital part of, and valuable
asset to, the fabric of community life and activity; and
  WHEREAS, This Legislative  Body  is  justly  proud  to  honor  Carolyn
Tyndall  upon  the  occasion  of being selected as Clinton County's 2013
Senior Citizen of the Year, in recognition of  her  invaluable  contrib-
utions  to  the community through her outstanding, and much appreciated,
volunteer work; and
  WHEREAS, As Clinton County's 2013 Senior Citizen of the Year,  Carolyn
Tyndall  will  participate  in the Annual New York State Senior Citizens
Day Luncheon, hosted by the State Office for the Aging  (SOFA),  at  the
Hart  Theatre  Lounge  in  the Egg, Albany, New York, on Tuesday, May 7,
2013; and
  WHEREAS, Carolyn Tyndall lives in Plattsburgh, New York; trained as  a
surgical  technologist, she is married, and the proud mother of one son;
and
  WHEREAS, Carolyn Tyndall is a dedicated volunteer with  the  Champlain
Valley Quilters Guild and Literacy Volunteers of America-Clinton County;
and
  WHEREAS, Carolyn Tyndall has been teaching the Quilters Guild quilting
class  for  seven  years  and  has served on the organization's Board as
well; as a volunteer with Literacy Volunteers, she has  participated  in
the Literacy Challenge and is an active fundraiser for the organization;
and
  WHEREAS,  A  true  asset  to  society, Carolyn Tyndall's distinguished
record merits the recognition and respectful tribute of this Legislative
Body; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
honor  Carolyn  Tyndall  upon  the occasion of being selected as Clinton
County's 2013 Senior Citizen of the Year; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Carolyn Tyndall.
