LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Jess Dolgin upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Executive Leadership Award by the Aleh Foundation on June 1, 2011 WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and WHEREAS, Jess Dolgin has given not only of his time and energies but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has been designated for special honor; and WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Jess Dolgin upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Executive Lead- ership Award by the Aleh Foundation, to be celebrated at its Annual Dinner on Wednesday, June 1, 2011; and WHEREAS, Born in Los Angeles, California, Jess Dolgin moved to Israel in 1970, where he lived for over 20 years; and WHEREAS, Jess holds a Masters Degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Florida, focusing on Software Engineering and Programming Quality Analysis as well as a Law Degree from Bar Ilan University; he is a licensed attorney in the State of Israel and served as legal counsel of Scitex Corporation Ltd., one of the leading high-tech companies in Israel; and WHEREAS, Upon returning to the United States, Jess co-founded E-Shop Enterprises, a leading provider of internet services for the Jewish internet niche market in 2000, and brought it to profitability in 2003; and WHEREAS, Jess Dolgin has been called upon to contribute his time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given of himself unstintingly; and WHEREAS, Jess Dolgin serves on the committee of Beth Jacob Congre- gation in Los Angeles as well as on many important charitable organiza- tions; he continues to serve as the CEO of E-Shop Enterprises as well as co-CEO of the JMG; and WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a period of constructive involvement, Jess Dolgin has stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Michelle, their three children, Daniella, Jonathan, and David, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and rejoice in his achievements; and WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ- ual for the benefit of others which Jess Dolgin has displayed throughout his life; and WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ- uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten- tion; they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to honor Jess Dolgin upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Executive Leadership Award by the Aleh Foundation on June 1, 2011; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- smitted to Jess Dolgin.
