LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION commending Wendy Rosher upon the occasion of her
designation as a recipient of the 2013 Woman of Achievement Award by the
YWCA of Schenectady

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to take  note  of  and
publicly  acknowledge  individuals  who  have  distinguished  themselves
through their exemplary careers, accomplishments, and  purposeful  lives
of service to their community; and
  WHEREAS,  Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly  proud  to  commend
Wendy  Rosher upon the occasion of her designation as a recipient of the
2013 Woman of Achievement Award by the YWCA of Schenectady; and
  WHEREAS, Wendy Rosher received this most prestigious honor at the 30th
Annual Women of Achievement Celebration on Thursday, April 18, 2013,  at
Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia, New York; and
  WHEREAS, A woman of singular distinction, Wendy Rosher has been called
upon  to  contribute her time and talents to countless endeavors and has
always given of herself unstintingly; and
  WHEREAS, Wendy Rosher is  Vice  President  of  Clinical  Services  and
Performance  Improvement  at  Ellis Medicine, a multi-campus health care
system in Schenectady and Southern Saratoga County, New  York;  she  has
worked her way to the top executive team, starting with the organization
over  25 years ago as a Medical Technologist in the laboratory and earn-
ing successive promotions to include operational oversight for  multiple
highly  technical  areas including laboratory, radiology and pharmacy to
name a few; she has most recently been the lead executive that  assisted
physicians  with  bringing  robotic  surgery  to  the  community so that
patients can receive this service near their home; and
  WHEREAS, Wendy Rosher developed the Bariatric Surgical Program in  the
community  and  has  led  the  program  through its Center of Excellence
designation; and
  WHEREAS, Wendy Rosher is an active participant on the  Advisory  Board
of  the Capital Region American Cancer Society; she earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in Medical Technology (ASCP) from Hartwick  College,  and
received  a  Master of Science degree in Health Care Administration from
the Sage Graduate School; and
  WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Michael, and their
children Brian and Kyle, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of her
life and rejoice in her achievements; and
  WHEREAS, Wendy Rosher has continually demonstrated extreme competence,
extraordinary intelligence and diligent  leadership  in  her  unwavering
service to her community and profession; and
  WHEREAS,  It  is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought  to  our  atten-
tion,  they  should  be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
commend Wendy Rosher upon the occasion of her designation as a recipient
of  the  2013 Woman of Achievement Award by the YWCA of Schenectady; and
be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Wendy Rosher.
