LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Christine Bianchi upon the occasion of
being  selected  as  2013  Valedictorian of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High
School in recognition of her outstanding accomplishment

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to honor the youth of
today -- the leaders of tomorrow --  whose  character  and  achievements
exemplify  the  ideals  and  values  cherished  by  this great State and
Nation; and
  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its  long-
standing  traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to recognize
and commend Christine Bianchi upon the occasion  of  being  selected  as
2013  Valedictorian  of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, Ravena, New
York, in recognition of her outstanding academic performance  and  exem-
plary achievement; and
  WHEREAS,  Christine  Bianchi  is the loving daughter of Carl and Mitzi
Bianchi, and the proud sister of Marissa, Kimberly, and Jessica; and
  WHEREAS, Christine Bianchi is a member of the National Honor  Society,
French  Club,  Year  Book  Club, Natural Helpers, and plays flute in the
High School Band; and
  WHEREAS, An avid volunteer, Christine Bianchi earned  the  Girl  Scout
Silver  Award  for  her  service to the NICU at Albany Medical Center in
Albany, New York; in addition, she is an AP  Scholar,  scholar  athlete,
and  has been awarded the RPI Medal, the Society of Women in Engineering
Certificate of Merit, and the Air Force Recruiting  Service  Mathematics
and Science Award; and
  WHEREAS, Christine Bianchi has been a member of the varsity soccer and
varsity  cheerleading teams for four years, and cheer Captain her junior
and senior years; she plans to attend Villanova University in the  fall,
and will major in Mathematics; and
  WHEREAS,  Christine  Bianchi  may now stand with pride as she assesses
her achievements, experiences the satisfaction of her labors and the joy
of her accomplishments, eager to face the new experiences of a challeng-
ing world; and
  WHEREAS, This  exceptional  student  of  Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk  High
School  represents the potential inherent in our most precious resource,
our youth; her achievements have brought enduring honor  to  her  family
and community and should be recognized and saluted; and
  WHEREAS,  It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend students
of outstanding character who have shown initiative and a  commitment  to
constantly  pursuing higher goals for themselves, and act as role models
of leadership to be emulated by their peers; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
commend  Christine  Bianchi  upon the occasion of being selected as 2013
Valedictorian of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, in recognition  of
her  outstanding  accomplishment, and to extend to her best wishes for a
future of purposeful success and well-being; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Christine Bianchi.
