LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the participants in the Nassau County
Little League upon the occasion of observing Nassau County Little League
Baseball Days 2013
WHEREAS, Little League is a wholesome sports activity for the young
people of Nassau County, Long Island, New York State and our Nation,
involving children, teenagers, coaches, parents, sponsors and other
interested men and women, helping to build character for young compet-
itors through the lessons of sportsmanship and competition learned on
the ballfield; and
WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports are achieved by
practice, team play and team spirit, nurtured by dedicated coaching and
parental interest and support; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend the partic-
ipants in the Nassau County Little League upon the occasion of observing
Nassau County Little League Baseball Days 2013; and
WHEREAS, The coaches of Nassau County Little League Baseball teams are
skilled and inspirational tutors who work diligently to help develop
character and proficiency in their young players; and
WHEREAS, Sports competition helps to instill the values of teamwork
and pride in our outstanding athletes who have clearly made a contrib-
ution to the excellence of Nassau County Little League Baseball; and
WHEREAS, Nassau County Little League Baseball has significantly
contributed to the quality of life of the residents of Nassau County and
Long Island by always encouraging and promoting greater understanding
and community pride among Nassau County and Long Island's many gener-
ations of young, and not so young, citizens; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Nassau County Little League upon observing Nassau County
Little League Baseball Days 2013; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the participants of Nassau County Little League Baseball Days
2013.
