LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Danielle E. Clifford upon the occasion
of  her  designation as Honor Speaker of Fonda-Fultonville High School's
Class of 2013, on June 22, 2013

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, honoring the youth of today,  and  leaders
of  tomorrow, whose character and achievements best exemplify the ideals
and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and
  WHEREAS, A young woman of singular distinction, Danielle  E.  Clifford
has  distinguished  herself  as a student of superlative ability, estab-
lishing a high standard of academic  excellence  and  purposefulness  of
life rarely achieved in youthful years; and
  WHEREAS,  Danielle  E.  Clifford,  through  her diligence and rigorous
efforts, has been designated Honor  Speaker  of  Fonda-Fultonville  High
School's  Class  of  2013;  the  graduation  ceremony will take place on
Saturday, June 22, 2013; and
  WHEREAS, Danielle E. Clifford, in achieving this high academic  honor,
may take just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of
excellence she brings to her family, friends, community and school; and
  WHEREAS,  The  daughter of Paul and Darlene Clifford of Esperance, New
York, Danielle Clifford is ranked second in the Class of 2013; she  will
be attending St. Lawrence University in the fall; and
  WHEREAS,  Danielle  Clifford  is  the  Secretary of the National Honor
Society, and President of the Key Club, as well as a member of the Soft-
ball team, Yearbook Committee, Select Choir, Wind Ensemble,  NYSSMA  All
County Choir and Band, Drama Club and 4-H; and
  WHEREAS,  Active  in  her  community, Danielle Clifford volunteers her
time to the Mental Health Association and teaches Sunday School; she  is
a  recipient  of the Girl Scouts Bronze and Silver Awards, United States
History Award, RIT Innovation and Creativity Award, Sage College Student
Award, NYS AXA Community Service Award, New York State Elks Scholarship,
and the St. Lawrence Momentum Scholarship;  she  also  has  her  certif-
ication  in  Safe-Talk Suicide Prevention and is a certified life guard;
  WHEREAS, As Danielle E. Clifford takes her leave of  Fonda-Fultonville
High  School,  she  bequeaths  a  legacy of academic achievement, school
involvement and community service to which others may aspire; and
  WHEREAS, Danielle E. Clifford stands poised  on  the  threshold  of  a
broad  and challenging world; a testament to the love and nurturing care
of her family, friends and school; and
  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is moved to honor Danielle E. Clifford,
a dedicated and able scholar, recognizing the value of  her  labors  and
the promise of her future; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED,  That  this  Legislative  Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Danielle E. Clifford upon the occasion  of  her  designation  as
Honor  Speaker  of  Fonda-Fultonville  High  School's  Class of 2013, to
congratulate her on her outstanding academic achievement, and to  extend
to her the best wishes of this Legislative Body for a future of purpose-
ful success and well-being, appreciative of the model she represents for
all aspiring young people of the Empire State; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Danielle E. Clifford.
