LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION  commending Dr. Hal Teitelbaum upon the occasion
of his designation as recipient of the Leadership in Business  Award  by
SUNY Orange Foundation

WHEREAS,  Individuals  who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
  WHEREAS, Dr. Hal Teitelbaum has given not only of his time  and  ener-
gies  but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and conse-
quently has been designated for special honor; and
  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly  proud  to  commend  Dr.  Hal
Teitelbaum  upon  the  occasion  of  his designation as recipient of the
Leadership in Business Award by SUNY Orange Foundation; he will be cele-
brated at  the  foundation's  8th  Annual  Leadership  Awards  Ceremony,
featuring  The  Spirit of Entrepreneurship, on Thursday, April 10, 2014,
on the SUNY Orange Newburgh, New York, campus; and
  WHEREAS, Hal Teitelbaum, MD, JD, MBA, is the founder,  managing  part-
ner,  and  chief  executive officer of Crystal Run Healthcare, a premier
multi-specialty group medical practice serving the mid-Hudson Valley and
Catskill regions of New York State; and
  WHEREAS, Crystal  Run  Healthcare  was  founded  in  1996,  and  today
includes more than 250 physicians and more than 300 healthcare providers
practicing  in  40  specialties  at  16  sites in its service area; this
dynamic health organization continues to be one of the  fastest  growing
medical practices in the region; and
  WHEREAS,  Dr.  Hal Teitelbaum is board certified in internal medicine,
medical oncology, and hematology; he completed his training in  internal
medicine  at  New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, and his training
in medical oncology and hematology at  Memorial  Sloan-Kettering  Cancer
Center;  committed  to  broadening  his  expertise, he earned a master's
degree in business administration from Columbia Business School in 1998,
and a Juris doctor degree from Columbia Law School in 2012; and
  WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period  of  his  community  service,  a
period  of  constructive  involvement,  Dr.  Hal  Teitelbaum  has  stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
  WHEREAS, This compassionate healer has dedicated himself to the  ongo-
ing improvement of access to and quality of health care in the community
he  serves;  his  vision,  business acumen, and commitment to excellence
have enhanced the lives of countless individuals and merit the  recogni-
tion of the citizens of this great Empire State; and
  WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual  for  the  benefit  of others which Dr. Hal Teitelbaum has displayed
throughout his life; now, therefore, be it
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
commend  Dr.  Hal  Teitelbaum  upon  the  occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Leadership in Business Award by SUNY Orange Foundation;
and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Hal Teitelbaum.
