LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Linn S. Chapel Co. Inc. upon the occa-
sion of celebrating its 100th Anniversary

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
small businesses greatly contribute to the economic vitality of communi-
ties across New York State; and
WHEREAS, Small business owners exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit
which has fueled our State and Nation since their founding; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Linn S. Chapel
Co. Inc. upon the occasion of celebrating its 100th Anniversary; and
WHEREAS, To celebrate this most auspicious occasion, Linn S. Chapel
Co. Inc. is planning a 100th Anniversary luncheon, to be held on
Friday, May 17, 2013, at its facility in Elmira, New York; and
WHEREAS, Also known as Chapel Lumber, Linn S. Chapel Co. Inc. is oper-
ated by Bill Beecher, the third generation Beecher to run and oversee
the business; and
WHEREAS, A remarkable milestone for an independent lumber dealer,
Chapel Lumber's ongoing success is due largely to its team of dedicated
and caring employees who have separated this illustrious business from
the competition; and
WHEREAS, Small businesses exert a strong positive influence on our
communities, and the future welfare of New York State depends on the
continued development of small businesses; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges the Linn S. Chapel Co. Inc.'s success, recognizes its contrib-
utions to the local and State economies, and extends its highest commen-
dation to the business and its employees, fully confident that, in its
future, it will enjoy the same success which has so characterized its
past; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Linn S. Chapel Co. Inc. upon the occasion of celebrating its 100th
Anniversary; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Bill Beecher, President, Linn S. Chapel Co. Inc.
