LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the Roseo family of Roscoe, New York,
upon the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of ownership of the Rockland
House Restaurant and Motel in 2013

WHEREAS, Individuals and organizations which serve the economic well-be-
ing and interests of the people of this great Empire State merit the
commendation of this Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business
organizations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor the
Roseo family of Roscoe, New York, upon the occasion of the 50th Anniver-
sary of ownership of the Rockland House Restaurant and Motel in 2013;
and
WHEREAS, In 2013, Thomas J. and Marea Roseo celebrate the 50th Anni-
versary of the family's ownership of the Rockland House Restaurant and
Motel; and
WHEREAS, In 1963, Joseph Roseo purchased the Rockland House Restaurant
and Motel and it has remained the family's business for the past 50
years; and
WHEREAS, The Rockland House has been a landmark in Roscoe, New York,
since 1865; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to the Roseo family
and Rockland House Restaurant and Motel; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and business organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments
are brought to our attention, they should be recognized by all the citi-
zens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the Roseo family of Roscoe, New York, upon the occasion of the
50th Anniversary of ownership of the Rockland House Restaurant and Motel
in 2013; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Thomas J. and Marea Roseo.
