LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring John Capozzi upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2013 Education Partner Award by Nassau
BOCES

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the efforts
of those individuals in the teaching profession who distinguish them-
selves in their dedication and commitment to their students; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor John
Capozzi upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the 2013
Education Partner Award by Nassau BOCES; and
WHEREAS, This most auspicious occasion will be celebrated at the
Nassau BOCES Educational Foundation's Education Partner Awards Gala on
Thursday, March 21, 2013; and
WHEREAS, The Education Partner Award recognizes those individuals or
organizations that have made a substantial impact on public education in
Nassau County; and
WHEREAS, Recipient of the 2013 Education Partner Award, Education
Partners category, John Capozzi is principal of Elmont Memorial High
School in the Sewanhaka Central High School District; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career thus far, John Capozzi has brought an
uncompromising standard of excellence to his work and a warm sense of
caring and concern to every young person he educates; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals who work to support our proud tradition of
public education by providing their skills and talents to our schools;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor John Capozzi upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the 2013 Education Partner Award by Nassau BOCES; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to John Capozzi.
