ATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Janet Tafeen upon the occasion of her ment after 27 years of distinguished service as an educator S, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and ly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and character endeavors have enhanced the quality of education in this great and EAS, The result of many individual efforts, the excellence and the s of the North Merrick Union Free School District is due in large o the efforts of Janet Tafeen; and EAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Janet Tafeen he occasion of her retirement after 27 years of distinguished e as an educator, to be celebrated on Monday, June 25, 2012; and EAS, For nearly three decades, Janet Tafeen has ably served the Merrick Union Free School District in her role as a Speech and ge Pathologist; and EAS, In addition to contributions as an educator, Janet Tafeen as a valuable member of the North Merrick Faculty Association for ears; and EAS, Janet Tafeen has continually demonstrated an impressive dedi- , an unparalleled devotion and an unremitting enthusiasm for the y of the educational programs and opportunities offered at the Merrick Union Free School District for the benefit of its faculty udents, as well as for the entire community; and EAS, In completing her service as an educator, Janet Tafeen leaves more than mere bricks and mortar; she leaves behind a legacy to sidents of the North Merrick community and to future generations students; now, therefore, be it LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to Janet Tafeen upon the occasion of her retirement after 27 years of guished service as an educator, and for her significant contrib- to education in New York State; and be it further LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- d to Janet Tafeen.
