LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Cronk's Electronics of Liberty, New York
upon the occasion of the celebration of its 25th Anniversary

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor businesses in
the State of New York which distinguish themselves through outstanding
professional behavior, innovation, and enduring commitment to their
community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its long-
standing traditions, it is with great pride that this Legislative Body
honors Cronk's Electronics upon the occasion of the celebration of its
25th Anniversary of operation and of service to the people and busi-
nesses of Liberty, New York, Sullivan County, and surrounding areas; and
WHEREAS, Tom Cronk opened Cronk's Electronics Inc. in Liberty on April
1, 1987, three days before the birth of his daughter, Jen; and
WHEREAS, Needless to say, Jen has spent most of her life around the
business, and it is now where she spends almost all her time; since
moving back to Liberty a year ago after spending some time in Phoenix,
Arizona, she decided to rent the apartment above the shop showroom; and
WHEREAS, Jen Cronk also immediately immersed herself in the family
business downstairs and is now serving as the store's office manager,
handling much of the business's paperwork, advertising, sales, and
customer service needs; and
WHEREAS, Cronk's Electronics continues to build and expand its custom-
er base so it can reach people in areas that are farther away and form-
ing new valued relationships; and
WHEREAS, Although Tom Cronk's workload has been lightened somewhat by
Jen's assistance, Tom has retained his fair share of duties, including
paperwork, booking, billing, repair and installation; and
WHEREAS, He does a lot of custom installation, requiring him to travel
out of the area quite often, which has become both a necessity and a joy
for him; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of a quarter century, the family-run business
has grown from an electronics repair shop into a carrier, selling
audio/visual products and accessories from several leading manufactur-
ers, including LG, Toshiba, Sharp, Russound, Niles, Sonos, and Haier;
and
WHEREAS, In addition to sales and repairs, Cronk's Electronics,
located on North Main Street in Liberty, has also branched out into
providing satellite service, satellite repair, audio repair, and custom
home installation; and
WHEREAS, Though keeping up with the technology and increased competi-
tion are a challenge, Tom Cronk's passion for electronics, born in his
youth, has not dissipated at all; and
WHEREAS, Businesses, such as Cronk's Electronics and its owners and
employees, exert a strong, positive influence on the communities they
serve and are an essential component of the economies of Sullivan County
and the State of New York, and of their quality of life; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this exceptional business and its contributions, and those of Tom
Cronk, and now of his daughter, Jen, as well, fully confident they will
continue to enjoy the success Tom Cronk has worked so hard to achieve;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
recognize and commend Tom Cronk and Cronk's Electronics of Liberty, New
York upon the occasion of the celebration of its 25th Anniversary of
outstanding and exemplary service to the people, businesses, and commu-
nities it has served so well for so long; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Tom Cronk of Cronk's Electronics of Liberty, New York.
