ATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Saint y the Great School, to be celebrated on Friday, July 20, 2012 S, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and d those institutions of true purpose and high achievement whose ary programs and accomplishments clearly demonstrate an enduring t of excellence in the education of the youth of this noble Empire and EAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long- ng traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem- the 100th Anniversary of Saint Gregory the Great School, to be ated on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Grand Prospect Hall; and EAS, This fine event is the Award Dinner Dance and will be later ed by another celebration on Sunday, September 16, 2012; and EAS, Located in Brooklyn, New York, Saint Gregory the Great Roman ic School was established in 1912 and shares in the education n of the Church with all parents and guardians; it is a unique since it is a catholic community which endeavors to foster spir- intellectual, emotional, social, moral and physical growth of all ts through a living of the Gospel and an academic environment; and EAS, Saint Gregory's is located in the beautiful Crown Heights n of Brooklyn and provides for students from Nursery through Grade school is a ministry of Saint Gregory the Great Parish and is d totally with lay educators and consists of predominantly West and African-American descendants; and EAS, The goal of Saint Gregory the Great School is to meet high rds along with building up students in a very positive way so as ain a higher standard for the growth of the church and civil soci- nd EAS, Accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and s, Saint Gregory the Great School is ably led by Principal Rudolph Charles; this outstanding individual has been instrumental in g the school prosper today and into the future; and EAS, It has always been the intent of this Legislative Body to t and promote the educational institutions that provide the young of the State of New York with the confidence and knowledge neces- o become successful in today's society; now, therefore, be it LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to orate the 100th Anniversary of Saint Gregory the Great School, to ebrated on Friday, July 20, 2012; and be it further LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- d to Mr. Rudolph Cyrus-Charles, Principal, Saint Gregory the Great .
