LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Edward Tice for being named Trainer of
the Year by the Empire State Law Enforcement Training Network

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Edward Tice for being named Trainer of the Year by the Empire State Law
Enforcement Training Network; and
WHEREAS, The Sheriff's Office Corrections Corporal Edward Tice has
been with the Sheriff's Office for 23 years; he is a certified instruc-
tor and oversees all state mandated, supervisory and special operations
training for the Corrections Division of the Sheriff's Office; in addi-
tion, he has served as a corporal for the past 14 years and has been a
member of the ESLETN for seven years; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Ghent, New York, Edward Tice coordinates
hundreds of hours of training provided to corrections officers; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Christa, and their
children, Eddie, Michael and Jennifer, all of whom feel privileged to be
a part of his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those dedicated
public servants who unselfishly devote their lives to the preservation
of order and the protection of others are worthy and due full praise for
their commitment and noble endeavors; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Edward Tice for being named Trainer of the Year by the Empire
State Law Enforcement Training Network; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Edward Tice.
