LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating St. Joseph Catholic School of
Batavia, New York, upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the 2012 Special Recognition of the Year Award by the Genesee County
Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business organ-
izations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare of
the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late St. Joseph Catholic School of Batavia, New York, upon the occasion
of its designation as recipient of the 2012 Special Recognition of the
Year Award by the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce; this auspicious
occasion will be celebrated at the Chamber's Annual Awards Ceremony, to
be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the Clarion Hotel; and
WHEREAS, St. Joseph Catholic School, located in Batavia, New York, is
a Pre-K through 8th-grade Roman Catholic school that teaches in partner-
ship with parents and the Church to nurture unique individuals; and
WHEREAS, By encouragement, example, and high expectations, St. Joseph
Catholic School of Batavia, New York, strives to nurture a secure foun-
dation of strong virtues and excellent academics so that its students
will continue to grow in holiness and skills to be well-equipped to
fulfill their individual missions in life; and
WHEREAS, The motto of St. Joseph Catholic School of Batavia, New York,
is "Our Children, Our Faith, Our Future"; and
WHEREAS, In 2012, St. Joseph Catholic School of Batavia, New York,
worked diligently to incorporate students and families from Holy Family
seamlessly; the school has a strong tradition of supporting the communi-
ty, and has continued to expand its program offerings, including
advanced mathematics and science, athletics and music; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to St. Joseph Cathol-
ic School of Batavia, New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions and individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought
to our attention, they should be recognized by all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate St. Joseph Catholic School of Batavia, New York, upon the
occasion of its designation as recipient of the 2012 Special Recognition
of the Year Award by the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to St. Joseph Catholic School, Batavia, New York.
