LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dorothy H. Ingrassia upon the occasion
of her retirement as the Town of Wallkill Receiver of Taxes

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor
illustrious citizens of this great Empire State who have faithfully
served the citizens of their community with exemplary dedication and
conscientious service; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dorothy H. Ingrassia upon the occasion of her retirement as the Receiver
of Taxes of the Town of Wallkill, New York, the largest town in Ulster
County, after more than 26 years of distinguished service; and
WHEREAS, Dorothy Ingrassia has served Ulster County and the Town of
Wallkill with loyalty, honor and distinction for nearly three decades,
from 1986 through the end of January 2013; and
WHEREAS, During her tenure, she has witnessed the burgeoning of
responsibilities and the continuing technological transformation of the
process of the creation, management and retention of essential Town
records; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Dorothy Ingrassia has served the Town
of Wallkill with intelligence and caring dedication, continuously striv-
ing to effectively fulfill the duties of her position, while remaining
appreciative of the Town history embodied in its records; and
WHEREAS, Dorothy Ingrassia has served as the Town of Wallkill Receiver
of Taxes with great diligence and unswerving commitment, earning the
admiration, esteem and affection of her colleagues and community; and
WHEREAS, In recognition of her commitment, dedication and nearly 27
years of distinguished service, it is the sense of this Legislative Body
to extend its highest commendation to Dorothy H. Ingrassia and to wish
her continued happiness and success in all her endeavors; now, there-
fore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dorothy H. Ingrassia upon the occasion of her retirement as
Receiver of Taxes of the Town of Wallkill, New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dorothy H. Ingrassia.
