LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Treasurer John Kruk upon the occasion of
his retirement after nearly 12 years of distinguished service to Oswego
County

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those individuals
whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to enhance the stat-
ure of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Treasurer John Kruk upon the occasion of his retirement after nearly 12
years of distinguished service to Oswego County; and
WHEREAS, Prior to becoming Oswego County Treasurer in 2002, John Kruk
was employed by General Electric in Schenectady, New York; Miller Brew-
ing in Volney, New York; and the Reynolds Can Plant in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin; as well as serving as Executive Assistant to the Mayor of the
City of Fulton; and
WHEREAS, For nearly 12 years as Treasurer, John Kruk rendered faith-
ful, conscientious and valuable service to Oswego County, serving with
loyalty, honor and distinction; and
WHEREAS, In his official acts, John Kruk has always been governed by a
keen sense of duty and a unique grasp of human problems; and
WHEREAS, During his tenure with Oswego County, John Kruk earned the
admiration, esteem and affection of his colleagues; and
WHEREAS, A dedicated member of his community, John Kruk is a past
president of the Fulton Kiwanis, president of the Jaycees, co-founder of
the Fulton Memorial Day Salute, a member of Fulton's Polish Home, and an
organizer of the Polish Festival; he is also a member of the Fulton Elks
Club and a past alderman of the City of Fulton; and
WHEREAS, After 43 years of distinguished service in numerous capaci-
ties, John Kruk looks forward to spending time with his family; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Treasurer John Kruk upon the occasion of his retirement after
nearly 12 years of distinguished service to Oswego County; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to John Kruk.
