LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating the 2013 inductees into the Town
of North Hempstead's Women's Roll of Honor

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
outstanding individuals whose professional lives, personal endeavors and
community service are an example and inspiration to their colleagues,
friends, and family; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late the 2013 inductees into the Town of North Hempstead's Women's Roll
of Honor to be celebrated at a Breakfast on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at
Harbor Links in Port Washington, New York; the theme of this year's
Breakfast will be to recognize the Town's "Trail Blazers"; and
WHEREAS, The Town of North Hempstead, New York, traditionally honors
extraordinary and outstanding women who have made North Hempstead an
exceptional and superb community; and
WHEREAS, Since 1994, North Hempstead has held a Breakfast during
Women's History Month to honor area women who have made a contribution
to their community, possess a special personal talent or have accom-
plished a significant achievement through public or quiet work; and
WHEREAS, The 2013 Town of North Hempstead's Women's Roll of Honor
recipients are: Grace Bryant, Marie Callahan, Cindy Cardinal, Marion
Endrizzi, Mindy German, Sharon Kovacs Gruer, Renee Haber, Catherine
Handy, Linda Leaf, Lauretta Murdock, Rose Marie Murphy, Christine Napol-
itano, Ania Nassimi, Parvaneh Doustan Sarraf, Jane Schwartz, Stella
Spanakos and Janet Wohlars; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their profession and community,
and have shown a long and sustained commitment to excellence, certainly
have earned the recognition and applause of all citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the 2013 inductees into the Town of North Hempstead's
Women's Roll of Honor; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the 2013 inductees into the Town of North Hempstead's Women's
Roll of Honor.
