LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Avery Berman of New Paltz, New
York, upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of two presti-
gious Artists in Music Awards

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize those individuals within our midst who have contributed great-
ly to the quality of our lives by a commitment to excellence; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
outstanding artists who distinguish themselves through their exceptional
performance, attaining unprecedented success and the highest level of
personal achievement; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Avery Berman of New Paltz, New York, upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of two prestigious Artists in Music Awards; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of New Paltz High School, 23 year-old Avery Berman
was recently nominated for three awards at the prestigious Artists in
Music Awards in Hollywood, California; and
WHEREAS, At the prestigious Artists in Music Awards in Hollywood,
California, Avery Berman of New Paltz, New York, won awards for the Best
Electronica Artist and Best Producer of the Year; and
WHEREAS, Avery Berman first began playing the guitar at 17 years of
age and has been pursuing music and honing his craft ever since; and
WHEREAS, Posting his songs and videos on his YouTube site, Avery
Berman's songs are played by the Emerge Radio Station Network; he has
become the fourth-most requested musician on the show; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Avery Berman's
exceptional artistic talent, prowess and achievements; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is moved to honor Avery Berman of New
Paltz, New York, for his extraordinary artistic accomplishments which
are a tribute to his talent, dedication and commitment; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Avery Berman of New Paltz, New York, upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of two prestigious Artists in Music Awards;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Avery Berman.
