ATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Joe Kavanagh of Wantagh High upon the occasion of capturing a 2011 New York State Division I ing championship S, This Legislative Body takes pleasure in honoring talented high athletes who distinguish themselves and their community through nding athletic performance; and EAS, Athletic competition enhances the moral and physical develop- f the young people of this State, preparing them for the future by ling in them the value of teamwork, encouraging a standard of y living, imparting a desire for success and developing a sense of lay and competition; and EAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long- ng traditions, it is the intent of this Legislative Body to tulate Joe Kavanagh of Wantagh High School upon the occasion of ing a 2011 New York State Division I wrestling championship; and EAS, In addition to his New York State championship honors, Joe gh won the 189-pound Nassau County Division I title; and EAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can be achieved through strenuous practice; Joe Kavanagh's dedication to wrestling ear-round, everyday commitment; he is highly focused and has ped a matchless work ethic; and EAS, Joe Kavanagh's exemplary performance is reflective of his tion, determination and personal commitment; his achievements as a hallmark of what is best in the schools and communities New York State; now, therefore, be it LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to tulate Joe Kavanagh of Wantagh High School upon the occasion of ing a 2011 New York State Division I wrestling championship, and mmend him for the enduring honor he has brought upon his family, hool and his community; and be it further LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- d to Joe Kavanagh.
