LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION honoring Teri and Vincent Punzone upon the occa-
sion of their designation as recipients of the 2013  Partners  in  Mercy
Award by Mercy Home for Children

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly  acknowledge  individuals of remarkable integrity and character
who have inspired and brought pride to our majestic  Empire  State  with
their strong contributions to the community and model citizenry; and
  WHEREAS,  Teri  and  Vincent Punzone have given not only of their time
and energies but also of their competence, intelligence  and  leadership
and consequently have been designated for special honor; and
  WHEREAS,  Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Teri
and Vincent Punzone upon the occasion of their designation as recipients
of the 2013 Partners in Mercy Award by Mercy Home  for  Children  to  be
celebrated at its Annual Partners in Mercy Luncheon on Sunday, April 21,
2013, at Russo's on the Bay, Howard Beach, New York; and
  WHEREAS,  Vincent Punzone is the President and Chief Executive Officer
of Blade Contracting Inc., Staten Island, New York; and
  WHEREAS, Vincent Punzone is an American original working  his  way  up
the ladder with Delguidice Enterprises; and
  WHEREAS,  In  1987,  Vincent  Punzone,  along  with co-founder Michael
DePompo and partner James Lerie, formed Blade Contracting, Inc., one  of
New York's leading masonry and general contractors; and
  WHEREAS,  Vincent  Punzone is an expert in historic restoration, water
proofing and high rise construction; as a proud member of  the  Building
Trades Association, Blade Contracting, Inc. observes the highest ethical
standards of business practices; and
  WHEREAS,  With  him  throughout  have  been his wife of 32 years, Teri
Volpe, and their three beautiful daughters; and
  WHEREAS, An avid sports fan and active golfer, Vincent  Punzone  is  a
member of Mercy Home's Golf Classic Committee; and
  WHEREAS,  It  is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought  to  our  atten-
tion,  they  should  be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; and
  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity  to
express  its highest admiration for Teri and Vincent Punzone and to wish
them continued success in all their future endeavors; now, therefore, be
it
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
honor Teri and Vincent Punzone upon the occasion of their designation as
recipients  of  the 2013 Partners in Mercy Award by Mercy Home for Chil-
dren; and be it further
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Teri and Vincent Punzone.
