LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Joan S. Jordan upon the occasion
of her retirement as Rosendale Town Clerk after seven years of dedicated
service

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those individuals
whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to enhance the stat-
ure of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Joan S. Jordan upon the occasion of her retirement as Rosendale
Town Clerk after seven years of dedicated service; and
WHEREAS, Joan S. Jordan will retire as the Town of Rosendale Town
Clerk on March 29, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Joan S. Jordan became Deputy Rosendale Town Clerk in 1995;
she was appointed Town Clerk in 2006; and
WHEREAS, The providing of myriad and valuable services to the resi-
dents of the Town of Rosendale during and in the aftermath of Hurricane
Irene in August 2011 symbolized Joan S. Jordan's distinguished tenure as
Rosendale Town Clerk; and
WHEREAS, For the past seven years Joan S. Jordan has rendered loyal,
effective and honorable public service to the Town of Rosendale, New
York, as its Town Clerk; and
WHEREAS, Joan S. Jordan's skills, personal creativity and resolve have
helped make the Town of Rosendale, New York, a better place to live and
work; and
WHEREAS, For seven years, Joan S. Jordan has rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable public service to the Town of Rosendale, New
York, serving with loyalty, honor and distinction; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Joan S. Jordan upon the occasion of her retirement as
Rosendale Town Clerk after seven years of dedicated service; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Joan S. Jordan.
