LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Hebrew Academy of Nassau County upon
the occasion of its 60th Anniversary Dinner Gala

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those institutions of true purpose and high achievement whose
exemplary programs and accomplishments clearly demonstrate the pursuit
of excellence in education and service to the community; and
WHEREAS, The greatest asset of any society is its children and the
hope and promise they represent for the future; West Hempstead's Hebrew
Academy of Nassau County (HANC) has a proud and rich history of provid-
ing its students with an educational and religious foundation which is
both strong and enduring; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concerns, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Hebrew Academy of Nassau County upon the occasion of its 60th Anniver-
sary Dinner Gala, to be held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Wood-
bury, New York, on Sunday, April 14, 2013; and
WHEREAS, The outstanding administration, teachers, volunteers and
parents of Hebrew Academy of Nassau County have fostered a learning
environment for Orthodox Jewish boys and girls from throughout Long
Island that promotes the maximum growth of every student, enabling each
student to develop the vital skills necessary to succeed throughout
their later school years; and
WHEREAS, As Hebrew Academy of Nassau County proudly celebrates this
auspicious milestone, it pays tribute to those generous and dedicated
individuals who have contributed significantly to its development and to
the quality of education it offers each and every student, from nursery
school through high school; and
WHEREAS, Hebrew Academy of Nassau County is proudly aware of its
distinguished past, eager to fulfill its present commitment to parents,
students and the community, and planning with vision and purpose for the
ebb and swell of growth and change it will encounter in the years to
come; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Hebrew Academy of Nassau County upon the occasion of its 60th
Anniversary Dinner Gala; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Hebrew Academy of Nassau County.
