 LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION commemorating the 25th Anniversary of Safe Homes
 of Orange County
 WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that  the
 quality  and  character of life in the communities across New York State
 are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza
 tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of  the
 community and its citizenry; and
 WHEREAS,  Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long
 standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly  proud  to  commem
 orate the 25th Anniversary of Safe Homes of Orange County; and
 WHEREAS,  Safe  Homes  of  Orange  County is a private, not-for-profit
 agency established in 1986 to  provide  comprehensive  and  confidential
 domestic violence services to victims and their families; and
 WHEREAS,  Safe Homes of Orange County's vision consists of the follow
 ing:  to promote the eradication of domestic violence throughout  Orange
 County;  to  ensure the safety of survivors and their improved access to
 services by reducing common barriers; to support the survivors'  freedom
 of choice; to hold abusers accountable for the violence they perpetrate;
 and  to  advocate for the development of victim-sensitive laws, policies
 and procedures across all systems  that  impact  survivors  of  domestic
 violence; and
 WHEREAS,  The  success  enjoyed  by  Safe Homes of Orange County is in
 direct correlation to the efforts  of  the  many  individuals  who  have
 supported the development of the organization over the years; and
 WHEREAS, Equally commendable are the superbly-skilled staff and volun
 teers  at  Safe  Homes  of  Orange  County, whose involvement is and has
 always been characterized by  an  impressive  commitment,  an  unbridled
 enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all of their
 efforts on behalf of the organization and the population it serves; and
 WHEREAS,  Steeped  in a proud and distinguished history, Safe Homes of
 Orange County may take just pride in its purposeful growth, as it  looks
 forward  to  continuing to serve the needs of the community; now, there
 fore, be it
 RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause  in  its  deliberations  to
 commemorate  the 25th Anniversary of Safe Homes of Orange County; and be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran
 smitted to Safe Homes of Orange County.
