 ATIVE  RESOLUTION honoring Paul Gasparini upon the occasion of his
 ation as recipient of the 2012 New York State High School  Princi-

 S, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor and recognize
 dedicated individuals, who strive to enhance the quality of educa-
 or our students, and whose accomplishments, character, and  commu-
 ommitment inspire all citizens of this great Empire State; and
 EAS,  Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
 ng traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Paul
 ini upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the  2012
 ork  State  High  School Principal of the Year Award by the School
 strators Association of New York State (SAANYS); and
 EAS, Paul Gasparini has been an educator for 27  years;  he  began
 areer  as a social studies teacher; he served two years as Seminar
  for the Harvard Institute of Reading, Writing  and  Civic  Educa-
  two  years  as  Assistant Principal at Liverpool High School, and
 ears as Assistant Principal at Tully Junior High School; and
 EAS, In June of 2001, Paul Gasparini was  appointed  Principal  of
 ille-DeWitt  High  School,  a 9-12 grade school in Onondaga County
 resently serves approximately 900 students; and
 EAS, As principal of Jamesville-DeWitt High School, Paul Gasparini
 proved the quality of education by  leading  and  mentoring  staff
 enthusiasm, cultivating a positive and stimulating school environ-
 or all students and  staff,  increasing  the  number  of  Advanced
 ent  courses  offered  at the high school, encouraging more parent
 mmunity involvement, and  increasing  student  recognition  initi-
 ; and
 EAS, Under Paul Gasparini's effective leadership, student achieve-

 EAS, Outside the walls  of  Jamesville-DeWitt  High  School,  Paul
 ini  is  extremely  committed  to  his community; he serves on the

 EAS, In addition, Paul Gasparini serves as an active member of the

 EAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when  individ-
