ATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating the Onondaga Thunder Bantam Travel Team upon the occasion of capturing the New York State Tier III tle S, Excellence and success in competitive sports can be achieved hrough disciplined practice, teamwork, and sportsmanship, nurtured icated coaching and strategic planning; and EAS, Athletic competition enhances the moral and physical develop- f the young people of this State, preparing them for the future by ling in them the value of hard work, and by encouraging a standard lthy living; and EAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay e to those young people within the State of New York who, by ing outstanding success in athletic competition, have inspired and t pride to their communities; and EAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate the ga Thunder Bantam Travel Hockey Team upon the occasion of winning w York State Tier III 14U Title; and EAS, The Onondaga Thunder Bantam Travel Hockey Team captured the ork State title, after beating Canandaigua during the Tier III 14U onship game on March 4, 2012, in Norfolk, finishing up the compe- with a perfect 4-0 record; and EAS, No team can succeed without outstanding skill and talent hout its entire roster; such is the case for the Onondaga Thunder Travel Hockey Team, which included Ryan Durkin, Connor Flanagan, Starrantino, Leland Powless, Drew Wyman, Chris Schneid, Eric konz, Grayson Burns, Cole Fowler, Adam Carman, Jake Etoll, Kyle a, Zach Wisbey, Colton Francemone, Sean Linton, Zach Sheridan, and t Zogby; and EAS, The talent displayed by the Onondaga Thunder Bantam Travel Team is due in great part to the constant encouragement and dedi- efforts of Head Coach Greg Burns and Assistant Coaches Eric d and Russ Carman; and EAS, Participation in athletic competition instills the values of rk, pride, and accomplishment, and the coaches and players of the ga Thunder Bantam Travel Hockey Team have clearly contributed to ide of their Central New York community; now, therefore, be it LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to tulate the Onondaga Thunder Bantam Travel Hockey Team upon the on of capturing the New York State Tier III 14U Championship; and further LVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- d to the members of the Onondaga Thunder Bantam Travel Hockey Team ad Coach Greg Burns.
