ATIVE RESOLUTION mourning the death of Franklin H. Merrill, guished citizen and devoted member of his community S, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to ns of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great of New York; and EAS, Franklin H. Merrill, of Amherst, New York, died on January 12, at the age of 85; and EAS, Franklin H. Merrill distinguished himself in his profession his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the e of his community; and EAS, Franklin H. Merrill's commitment to excellence, and his spir- humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise, including able and civic endeavors; and EAS, Franklin H. Merrill is survived by his wife of 31 years, y Merrill; two daughters, Cynthia Naples and Deborah Becker; his hildren, Samantha, Miranda and Maren; and one sister, Vivian Mill- well as several nieces and nephews; Franklin was predeceased by other, Colonel Thomas Merrill and one sister, Evelyn Miller; and EAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of sion, Franklin H. Merrill leaves behind a legacy which will long the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all ved and befriended; now, therefore, be it LVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to the death of Franklin H. Merrill, distinguished citizen and d member of his community; and be it further LVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran- d to the family of Franklin H. Merrill.
