  printed to be committed to the Committee on Labor

AN ACT to amend the  labor  law,  in  relation  to  authorizing  certain
  employees  represented  by  a  collective bargaining representative to
  work more than six days a week on a voluntary basis

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivision 2 of section 161 of the labor law is amended by
adding a new paragraph g to read as follows:
  G.  EMPLOYEES IN A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT REPRESENTED BY AN EXCLU-
SIVE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING REPRESENTATIVE WHO ARE COVERED BY  A  COLLEC-
TIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WHOSE TERMS ALLOW FOR EMPLOYEES TO WORK PURELY
VOLUNTARY OVERTIME.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
