TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the tax law, in relation to extending the authorization of the county of Chenango to impose an additional one percent of sales and compensating use taxes
PURPOSE OF GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: This bill authorizes the County of Chenango to extend one percent sales tax through November 30, 2015.
SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: This bill extends to the County of Chenango's current one percent sales tax for two years.
JUSTIFICATION:S: Chenango County has requested that the New York State Legislature adopt an amendment to the Tax Law extending the authorization to impose the additional one percent sales and compensating use tax.
PRIOR LEGISLATIVE HISTORY: New bill.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: None to the State.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This act shall take effect immediately.
