JUSTIFICATION: Concerns have been raised that the deer and other wildlife populations in Essex County and other areas of the state suffers from severe depredation during the winter months from coyotes attacking, chasing or worrying deer and other wildlife.
The coyote population has ballooned and over-population exists which further endangers and harasses landowner's pets and farm animals in addition to the deer, rabbit, turkey, grouse and other small game population.
