TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the tax law, in relation to peace officers at the video lottery gaming facility at the Aqueduct racetrack

PURPOSE: To require the presence of peace officers at the Aqueduct racetrack.

SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:

The legislation stipulates that these peace officers are not authorized to carry, possess a firearm in the course of their duties.

Section 2. The effective date.

JUSTIFICATION: Currently, Aqueduct casino employs security guards to ensure the security of the public who attend the site and the employees who work there.
