  and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Education

AN ACT changing the name of  Georgetown-South  Otselic  to  the  Otselic
  Valley Central School District at Georgetown-South Otselic

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, rule  or  regu-
lation  to the contrary, the commissioner of education is hereby author-
ized, empowered and directed to change the official name of  Georgetown-
South   Otselic  to  the  Otselic  Valley  Central  School  District  at
Georgetown-South Otselic.    The  education  department  shall  issue  a
certificate  certifying  the  name  of  the district and the name of the
towns and counties in which the territory of the district is located.
  S 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day  after  it  shall
have become a law.
