BILL NUMBER:S4373 TITLE OF BILL: An act to legalize, validate, ratify and confirm certain actions of the village of South Blooming Grove relating to the operation of the former town of Blooming Grove sewer district PURPOSE: The Village of South Blooming Grove has requested the legislature take action in relation to the consolidation of certain functions that had been performed by the Town of Blooming Grove and its former town sewer districts, which by operation of law have now been assumed by the Village of South Blooming Grove when it was created. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: All actions and proceedings taken by the village of South Blooming Grove relating to the operation of the former town of Blooming Grove sewer district are to be legalized, validated, ratified and confirmed. JUSTIFICATION: This bill was requested by the Village of South Blooming Grove. LEGISLATIVE HISTORY: New Bill. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: None. EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediate

LARKIN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT to legalize, validate, ratify and confirm certain actions of the village of South Blooming Grove relating to the operation of the former town of Blooming Grove sewer district THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. All actions and proceedings taken by the village of South Blooming Grove, in the county of Orange, acting by and through its board of trustees, pursuant to subdivision 6 of section 2-254 of the village law and subparagraph e of paragraph (ii) of subdivision 1 of section 10 of the municipal home rule law relating to the operation of the former town of Blooming Grove sewer district are hereby legalized, validated, ratified and confirmed. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD09912-01-5
