The Nassau University Medical Center services hundreds of patients and employees in the unincorporated area of East Meadow in the Town of Hempstead. In June 2011, the Medical Center's parking garage was condemned as structurally unsound. This caused a great number of employees and visitors to park in the residential streets around the hospital. The result is there a severe parking problem to the residents of this area. A residential parking permit system is required to address this problem.
This is new legislation.
None to the State.
This act shall take effect immediately.
