BILL NUMBER: S459 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend chapter 672 of the laws of 1993, amending the public authorities law relating to the construction and financing of facilities for certain public libraries, in relation to including the Gold Coast public library PURPOSE : This legislation authorizes the provision of financing by the dormitory authority to the Gold Coast Public Library. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Subdivision 47 of section 5 of chapter 672 of the laws of 1993 is amended to add the Gold Coast Public Library to the list of eligible libraries. JUSTIFICATION : This legislation allows the Gold Coast Public Library to be eligible for financing through the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York. The legislation was introduced at the request of the Gold Coast Public Library.

MARCELLINO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Corporations, Author- ities and Commissions AN ACT to amend chapter 672 of the laws of 1993, amending the public authorities law relating to the construction and financing of facili- ties for certain public libraries, in relation to including the Gold Coast public library THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 47 of section 5 of chapter 672 of the laws of 1993, amending the public authorities law relating to the construction and financing of facilities for certain public libraries, as added by chapter 345 of the laws of 2014, is renumbered subdivision 49 and a new subdivision 50 is added to read as follows: 50. GOLD COAST PUBLIC LIBRARY S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD04541-01-5
