  ed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Education

AN  ACT  to amend chapter 552 of the laws of 1995 amending the education
  law relating to contracts for the transportation of  school  children,
  in relation to the effectiveness thereof

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 2 of chapter 552 of the laws of 1995  amending  the
education  law  relating  to  contracts for the transportation of school
children, as amended by chapter 201 of the laws of 2010, is  amended  to
read as follows:
  S  2.  This  act  shall  take  effect on the first day of January next
succeeding the date on which it shall have become a law and shall remain
in full force and effect until January 1, [2014] 2017,  when  upon  such
date the provisions of this act shall be deemed repealed.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
