  mental Disabilities

AN ACT to amend the mental hygiene law, in relation  to  powers  of  the
  office of mental health and the commissioner

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 7.09 of the mental hygiene law is amended by adding
a new subdivision (k) to read as follows:
  (K)(1) THE COMMISSIONER SHALL, IN CONSULTATION WITH  THE  COMMISSIONER
OF  THE  OFFICE  OF  GENERAL  SERVICES  AND  THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STATE
POLICE, CONDUCT AN ASSESSMENT OF THE EXISTING PLACEMENT  OF  SIGNAGE  ON
INFRASTRUCTURE TO DISCOURAGE INDIVIDUALS FROM SUICIDE AND ISSUE A REPORT
WITH  RECOMMENDATIONS  ON THE PLACEMENT OF SUCH SIGNAGE TO THE TEMPORARY
PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE AND THE SPEAKER OF THE ASSEMBLY  NO  LATER  THAN
APRIL FIRST, TWO THOUSAND FIFTEEN.
  (2)  FOR  PURPOSES OF THIS SUBDIVISION THE TERM "INFRASTRUCTURE" SHALL
INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO, BUILDINGS,  BRIDGES,  WATER  TOWERS  AND
WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION TOWERS WHETHER PUBLICLY OR PRIVATELY OWNED.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

AN  ACT  to  amend  the mental hygiene law, in relation to powers of the

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
