BILL NUMBER:S5512 TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the public authorities law, in relation to authorizing the dormitory authority to construct and finance certain facilities of the Poly Prep Country Day School PURPOSE: Allow for the refinancing and/or financing by the NYS Dormitory Authority of projects associated with Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn, NY JUSTIFICATION: Poly Prep has successfully utilized state funding for previous projects. The legislation will allow for the Dormitory Authority to review projects for possible future financing. LEGISLATIVE HISTORY: New Bill. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: To be determined. EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately.

BROOK-KRASNY -- read once and referred to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to authorizing the dormitory authority to construct and finance certain facilities of the Poly Prep Country Day School THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph (b) of subdivision 2 of section 1676 of the public authorities law is amended by adding a new undesignated paragraph to read as follows: POLY PREP COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL, FOR THE REFINANCING OF OUTSTANDING INDEBTEDNESS, THE FINANCING OR REFINANCING, OR REIMBURSEMENT OF THE COSTS OF, THE ACQUISITION, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, RECONSTRUCTION, REHA- BILITATION, IMPROVEMENT, FURNISHING AND EQUIPPING OF, OR OTHERWISE PROVIDING FOR, THE POLY PREP COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL AT ITS FACILITIES LOCATED AT 9216 SEVENTH AVENUE AND/OR 50 PROSPECT PARK WEST IN BROOKLYN, NEW YORK, TO SERVE AS A SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES NURSERY THROUGH TWELVE; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT THE AGGREGATE SUM OF ANY BONDS ISSUED FOR SUCH PURPOSE SHALL NOT EXCEED FIFTEEN MILLION DOLLARS. S 2. Subdivision 1 of section 1680 of the public authorities law is amended by adding a new undesignated paragraph to read as follows: POLY PREP COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL, FOR THE REFINANCING OF OUTSTANDING INDEBTEDNESS, THE FINANCING OR REFINANCING, OR REIMBURSEMENT OF THE COSTS OF, THE ACQUISITION, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, RECONSTRUCTION, REHA- BILITATION, IMPROVEMENT, FURNISHING AND EQUIPPING OF, OR OTHERWISE PROVIDING FOR, THE POLY PREP COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL AT ITS FACILITIES LOCATED AT 9216 SEVENTH AVENUE AND/OR 50 PROSPECT PARK WEST IN BROOKLYN, EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
