BILL NUMBER:S5591 TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the public health law, in relation to authorizing certain campgrounds to provide a list of dumping stations PURPOSE OF BILL: This legislation would authorize a campground with fifteen or fewer campsites which does not have a dumping station to provide a written list of at least three dumping stations within a thirty mile radius of the campground. In addition, the legislation provides that each such campground which does not have a dumping station shall inspect each campsite upon the arrival and exit of an occupant and at least once a week an inspection while the campsite is occupied. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section one of the bill amends section 225 of the public health law, by adding a new subdivision 5-d, to provide that the sanitary code shall authorize a campground with fifteen or fewer campsites which does not have a dumping station to provide a written list of at least three dumping stations within a thirty mile radius of the campground. Section two provides for an immediate effective date.

LITTLE, LIBOUS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to authorizing certain campgrounds to provide a list of dumping stations THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 225 of the public health law is amended by adding a new subdivision 5-d to read as follows: 5-D. THE SANITARY CODE SHALL AUTHORIZE A CAMPGROUND WITH FIFTEEN OR FEWER CAMPSITES WHICH DOES NOT HAVE A DUMPING STATION TO PROVIDE A WRIT- TEN LIST OF AT LEAST THREE DUMPING STATIONS WHICH ARE PUBLIC OR WHICH HAVE AGREED TO PERMIT USE OF SUCH DUMPING STATION BY OCCUPANTS OF THE CAMPGROUND PROVIDING SUCH LIST AND WHICH ARE LOCATED WITHIN A THIRTY MILE RADIUS OF THE CAMPGROUND. EACH SUCH CAMPGROUND WHICH DOES NOT HAVE A DUMPING STATION SHALL INSPECT EACH CAMPSITE UPON THE ARRIVAL AND EXIT OF ANY OCCUPANT, AND AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK WHILE THE CAMPSITE IS OCCU- PIED. S 2.
