AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to  establishing
  a repowering advisory committee

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Sections 1020-jj and 1020-kk of the public authorities law,
as renumbered by chapter  388  of  the  laws  of  2011,  are  renumbered
sections  1020-kk and 1020-ll and a new section 1020-jj is added to read
as follows:
  S 1020-JJ. REPOWERING ADVISORY COMMITTEE. 1. THE AUTHORITY, IN COOPER-
ATION WITH ITS SERVICE PROVIDER, AS DEFINED UNDER SECTION THREE-B OF THE
PUBLIC SERVICE LAW, AND OWNER  OF  THE  LEGACY  LILCO  POWER  GENERATING
FACILITIES,  IS  HEREBY  AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO ESTABLISH WITHIN THE
AUTHORITY A REPOWERING ADVISORY COMMITTEE BY SEPTEMBER FIRST, TWO  THOU-
SAND  FIFTEEN.  THE  REPOWERING ADVISORY COMMITTEE SHALL BE COMPRISED OF
ELEVEN MEMBERS, EACH OF THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES SHALL APPOINT ONE MEMBER:
TOWNS OF BROOKHAVEN, HUNTINGTON, AND HEMPSTEAD; VILLAGES OF PORT JEFFER-
SON, ASHAROKEN, AND NORTHPORT; SCHOOL DISTRICTS OF THREE  VILLAGE,  PORT
JEFFERSON  UNION  FREE, NORTHPORT - EAST NORTHPORT UNION FREE, OCEANSIDE
UNION FREE, AND NORTH SHORE CENTRAL.  MEMBERS SHALL SERVE AT THE  PLEAS-
URE  OF  THE  ENTITY  FROM  WHICH  THEY  WERE  APPOINTED. A CHAIRPERSON,
VICE-CHAIRPERSON AND SECRETARY OF THE COMMITTEE SHALL BE  ELECTED  BY  A
MAJORITY  OF MEMBERS OF SUCH COMMITTEE. A MAJORITY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE
COMMITTEE SHALL CONSTITUTE A QUORUM, AND ACTION BY THE  COMMITTEE  SHALL
BE  BY  THE ASSENT OF A MAJORITY OF THOSE PRESENT, THERE BEING A QUORUM.
THE  AUTHORITY  SHALL  PROVIDE  SECRETARIAL,  RECORD  KEEPING,   MEETING
SERVICES  AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO THE COMMITTEE.  THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MAY REQUEST ASSISTANCE, AND THE SERVICES OF, ANY MUNICIPALITIES THAT ARE
WITHIN THE COUNTIES OF NASSAU AND SUFFOLK, AS IT MAY REQUIRE AND AS  MAY
