  printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules

AN ACT in relation to authorizing the village of Mamaroneck to designate
  a portion of United States Route 1 as a school zone

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Notwithstanding  the  provisions  of the highway law, the
vehicle and traffic law or any other laws to the contrary,  the  village
of  Mamaroneck  is hereby authorized to designate a school speed zone on
West Boston Post Road (United States Route 1) with a posted speed  limit
of 20 miles per hour, effective school days between 7 AM and 5 PM, to be
located  between  the  entrance of Mamaroneck town hall, 740 West Boston
Post Road and Richbell Road in the village of Mamaroneck.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
