BILL NUMBER:S6450A TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 672 of the laws of 1993, amending the public authorities law relating to the construction and financing of facilities for certain public libraries, in relation to including the Guilderland public library within the provisions of such chapter PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To enable the Guilderland Public library to bond through the dormitory authority for an upcoming capital project to expand and renovate the library. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section 1 - Amends section 5 of chapter 672 of the laws of 1993 by adding the Guilderland Public Library to the list of eligible libraries. Section 2 - Effective date. JUSTIFICATION: The Guilderland Public Library is hoping to expand and renovate the library and add additional space for their children and teens. They would also like to add a Local History Center that will allow their residents to research local and family history as well as providing additional space for their very successful and well attended public programs. Inclusion with the funding apparatus of the Dormitory Authori- ty will significantly enhance the organization's ability to ensure its goals. PRIOR LEGISLATIVE HISTORY: New bill. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: None to the state. EFFECTIVE DATE: This act shall take effect immediately.

Section 1.
Section 5 of chapter 672 of the laws of 1993, amending the public authorities law relating to the construction and financing of facilities for certain public libraries, as amended by chapter 533 of the laws of 2011, is amended to read as follows:
