AN ACT in relation to permitting the county of  Suffolk  to  extend  the
  real  property  tax  payment deadline for the residents of the town of
  East Hampton

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Notwithstanding  the provisions of the Suffolk County Tax
Act, the county of Suffolk is hereby authorized, by  legislative  resol-
ution,  to  extend the real property tax payment deadline of January 10,
2014 to January 31, 2014, in the town of East  Hampton,  and  waive  any
interest  and penalties which may be due or imposed on or before January
31, 2014 provided that the county legislature passes a resolution adopt-
ing the provisions of this act within thirty  days  following  the  date
upon which this act becomes law.
  S  2.  This  act  shall take effect immediately and shall be deemed to
have been in full force and effect on and after January 10, 2014.
