BILL NUMBER:S6602 TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 98 of the laws of 2009, amending the tax law relating to authorizing the county of Cattaraugus to impose an additional mortgage recording tax, in relation to extending the expiration thereof PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: This bill extends Cattaraugus County's mortgage recording tax through December 1, 2015. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section 1 extends the authorization for Cattaraugus County to impose such tax from December 1, 2012 to December 1, 2015. Section 2 provides that this shall take effect immediately. JUSTIFICATION: The Cattaraugus County Legislature, by Resolution adopted in 2008, requested that the New York State Legislature authorize Cattaraugus County to levy such tax. It has recently voted to request this re-authorization. PRIOR LEGISLATIVE HISTORY: This is a new bill. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: None to the State. EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediate.

AN ACT to amend chapter 98 of the laws of 2009, amending the tax law relating to authorizing the county of Cattaraugus to impose an addi tional mortgage recording tax, in relation to extending the expiration thereof
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
Section 2 of chapter 98 of the laws of 2009, amending the tax law relating to authorizing the county of Cattaraugus to impose an additional mortgage recording tax, is amended to read as follows:
S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be deemed repealed December 1, [2012] 2015.
