BILL NUMBER: S738 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend the public health law, in relation to establishing certain substances as banned substances PURPOSE : Adds four substances to schedule I of section 3306 of the Public Health Law. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Section 1 adds 4 substances to schedule I of section 3306 of the public health law. The first substance added is N-(2-methoxybenzyl)-2, 5-dimethoxy-4-iodoplaenethylamine, its optical isomers, salts, and salts of isomers. This is also known as 251-NBOME, 2C-1-NBOME, and Cimbi5. The second substance is 2,5-dimethoxy-4-iodophenethylamine, its optical isomers, salts and salts of isomers. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS : Section 1 adds 3 substances to schedule I of section 3306 of the public health law. The first substance added is 2-(4-iodo-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-N-(2-methoxybenzyl)ethanamine, also known as 25I-NBOMe; 2C-I-NBOMe; 251; or Cimbi-5. The second is 2-(4-chloro-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-N-(2-methoxybenzyl)ethanamine. This is also known as 25 CNBOMe, 2C-C-NBOMe, 25C, and Cimbi-82 The fourth is 2-(4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-N-(2-methoxybenzyl)ethanamine. This is also known as 25 BNBOMe, 2C-B-NBOMe, and Cimbi-26.
