AN ACT to authorize the town of Ellicottville, county of Cattaraugus  to
  transfer   funds   from   an   unappropriated  fund  balance  for  the
  construction of a highway garage

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Notwithstanding  any  other provision of law, the town of
Ellicottville, county of Cattaraugus is hereby  authorized  to  transfer
funds  from  an unappropriated fund balance in the Highway B fund to the
General A  fund  for  the  purpose  of  expending  such  funds  for  the
construction  of  a highway garage. Such transfer of funds shall be made
by a majority vote of the Ellicottville town board and shall not  exceed
a total of $500,000.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
