BILL NUMBER:S7647 TITLE OF BILL: An act to authorize the town of Ellicottville, county of Cattaraugus to transfer funds from an unappropriated fund balance for the construction of a highway garage PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: This bill authorizes the town of Ellicottville, county of Cattaraugus to transfer funds from the fund balance in the highway fund to the general fund for the purpose of constructing a highway garage. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section 1 authorizes the Town of Ellicottville, county of Cattaraugus, to transfer funds contained from an unappropriated fund balance in the town's highway fund to the general fund for the purpose of expending such funds for the construction of a highway garage. The transfer must be approved by resolution of the Town Board by majority vote and shall not exceed $500,000.00. Section 2 says that this act shall take effect immediately. JUSTIFICATION: The Town of Ellicottville has sold its current highway garage to a private business, and is desirous of constructing a new highway garage in a different location. YOUNG -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to authorize the town of Ellicottville, county of Cattaraugus to transfer funds from an unappropriated fund balance for the construction of a highway garage THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the town of Ellicottville, county of Cattaraugus is hereby authorized to transfer funds from an unappropriated fund balance in the Highway B fund to the General A fund for the purpose of expending such funds for the construction of a highway garage. Such transfer of funds shall be made by a majority vote of the Ellicottville town board and shall not exceed a total of $500,000. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
