BILL NUMBER:S7664 TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to providing that a representative holding the title of pilot or marine engineer appointed by the president of the uniformed firefighters association of greater New York be entitled to cast one-half vote on the FDNY's pension fund subchapter two board of trustees PURPOSE: This legislation would provide that a representative holding the title of pilot or marine engineer appointed by the president of the uniformed firefighters association of greater New York, be entitled to cast one-half vote on the FDNY's pension fund subchapter two Board of Trustees. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: This bill would amend Section 13-316 of the administrative code of the City of New York to provide that a representative holding the title of pilot or marine engineer appointed by the president of the uniformed firefighters association of greater New York, be entitled to cast one-half vote on the FDNY's pension fund subchapter two board of trustees. JUSTIFICATION: FDNY pilots and marine engineers have voted to end their affiliation with the Marine Engineers Benevolent Association ("MEBA") and are now members of the Uniformed Firefighters Association of Greater New York pursuant to the decision and certification of the

GOLDEN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Cities AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to providing that a representative holding the title of pilot or marine engineer appointed by the president of the uniformed fire- fighters association of greater New York be entitled to cast one-half vote on the FDNY's pension fund subchapter two board of trustees THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph 10 of subdivision a of section 13-316 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended to read as follows: 10. [The president of the uniformed pilots and marine engineers asso- ciation, fire department, city of New York,] A REPRESENTATIVE HOLDING THE TITLE OF PILOT OR MARINE ENGINEER APPOINTED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNIFORMED FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION OF GREATER NEW YORK, who shall be entitled to cast one-half vote.
