AN ACT to amend the education law,  in  relation  to  practical  nursing
  training at private schools

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivision 4 of section  6507  of  the  education  law  is
amended by adding a new paragraph a-1 to read as follows:
  A-1.  REGISTER  OR  APPROVE  PROGRAMS  OF  STUDY  IN PRACTICAL NURSING
OFFERED AT PRIVATE SCHOOLS LICENSED PURSUANT TO ARTICLE ONE HUNDRED  ONE
OF  THIS  CHAPTER.  THE  PROGRAMS SHALL BE REGISTERED OR APPROVED BY THE
OFFICE OF THE PROFESSIONS, AND ALL OTHER PROVISIONS OF SUCH ARTICLE  ONE
HUNDRED  ONE  OF  THIS  CHAPTER  SHALL  APPLY  TO  THE SCHOOLS AND THESE
PROGRAMS, EXCEPT THOSE CONCERNING CURRICULUM APPROVAL  AND  REQUIREMENTS
FOR  TEACHER LICENSING THAT ARE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE OFFICE OF THE
PROFESSIONS.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
