BILL NUMBER: S7140 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend the public authorities law, in relation to providing for the financing and construction of capital facilities for Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Corps, a not-for-profit corporation PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL : This legislation will allow funding that has been allocated from the United States Department of Transportation to the Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Corps Inc., to be channeled through the New York State Dormitory Authority. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS : Section 1. Paragraph (b) of subdivision 2 of section 1676 of the public authorities law is amended by adding a new undesignated paragraph to read as follows: Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Corps, Inc. for the purpose of providing construction related services in connection with the construction, reconstruction, improvement, renovation, development or expansion of facilities owned by Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Corps, Inc. located at 23 West 11th Road, Broad Channel, New York.
